Dr. David J. Dexter has been providing eye care for Oswego County families for over 30 years with specializations in primary care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and serves on the board for the State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Dexter also serves the United States Congress as a representative of the American Optometric Association. After graduation from Optometry School in California with honors in 1978, Dr. Dexter was extensively published for his work in the development of new gas permeable contact lens materials. He resides in Oswego with his wife Dr. Lori Youngman.
Dr. Lori A. Youngman brings extensive geriatric and surgical/medical co-management experience to Harbor Eye Associates. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon and Pacific University College of Optometry. She completed her geriatric residency at American Lake VA Hospital, Tacoma, WA and her surgical co-management fellowship with Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute, Chehalis, WV. She was recently awarded Optometric Physicians of Washington and Great Western Council of Optometry’s Physician of the Year. Dr. Youngman is a native of the Pacific Northwest and has spent the last 20 years in surgical patient care with Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute and held an adjust faculty position at Pacific University College of Optometry prior to relocating to Oswego, NY. She enjoys spending time with family, boating, swimming, snow skiing, walking and reading. She has two sons, Tyler who current attends Syracuse University and Drew who currently attends Oswego schools.
